HEY 🙋 THIS IS G62B HERE

Although we are just a group member, but we look each other like family 😘

We hope that all of the Multimedia University's students can pass their exam with flying colours and enjoy in your university's life. ✨

Besides , all of us want to share some meaningful quotation to you all :

" Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the night. "

" If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. "

" Never give up on something you really want. It's difficult to wait, but worse to regret. "

The Explanation about our group's Logo and The cover of our Blog.

Explanation of our Group's Logo

1.The design of this logo is like our own creation of communication network. All the joint of the triangle is connected because all we use to design this logo is the concept of   "All Channel".

2. The two little triangle that stay inside the big triangle represented the 2 boys of our group member. The majority of girls is more than   boys in our group that's why we use the big triangle to represent girls.

Explanation of our blog's cover photo

Obviously there's 8 person in this photo ,2 boys and 6 girls. So this cover photo it's already represent our whole group members and no need any explanation. Simply!

TOPIC 1 - WHY GROUP IS IMPORTANT ?

IMPORTANT  OF GROUP

1)  Strength the relationships between all members

  • learn how to communicate with another members/race to able to achieve the goal as one
  • improve the speaking skills and language when u communicate with members and another competitor
  • move as one and complete the tasks that given by the lecture

2) Become more responsible in the group

  • without the responsibility , a group cannot form to become a high performance group
  • If one of the member did not do their work property, the work done by group will become mess
  • the group will also fail to achieve their goal

3) Sharing Ideas

  • As a team, the members can each contribute pros and cons of approaches to tasks and methods to accomplish key goals.
  • Collaboration as a team benefits the project and gives team members an outlet to bounce around ideas.
  • By sharing ideas and working together, everyone involved benefits and receives a bit back. Without making it known what we’re doing and thinking, it’s impossible for others to contribute to that knowledge.

4) Bring team spirit among group members

  • As a group all of us have same goal that everyone wish to achieve , it is because we all do the task together.
  • Done any job perfectly via discussion. For example, we gave our idea in preparing the importance of group's slide.
  • Having team spirit is important because if one of the member with the wrong attitude can undermine the effort of the entire team.

5) Can make more friends

  • Create a group text
  • Add them on social media
  • Ask about them frequently
  • Because somebody are more introvert than extrovert,so that if we working in a group,we can be more iniative.

TOPIC 1 - 5 Stages of Group Development to Manage Group Dynamics

Forming⟹

This is when the team first meet and familiarize themselves with each other, form interpersonal relationship and develop the team structure.

In this stage, most team members are positive and polite. Some are anxious,as they haven't fully understood what work the team will do. Others are simply excited about the task ahead.

As a leader, you must play a important roles at this stage. It is because member's roles and responsibilities aren't clear. Therefore, leadership is crucial at this stage because it helps members to sort out the objectives and get to know their new colleagues.

Storming

In this stage, people start to push against the boundaries established in the forming stage. This is the stage where many teams failed.Members will voice their individual differences. For example, team members will challenge your authority,or jockey for position as their roles are clarified.

Therefore,it is important for members to continue to be highly involved with each other, including to voice any concerns in order to feel represented and understood.

Moreover, leader should help members who is quiet and self-conscious to voice their opinions or views. In this moment, leadership will be tested among each other to gain recognition of which individual has the aptitude to lead.Members try to look for a position that suits their identity.

Norming

In this stage, people start to resolve their differences, appreciate colleagues'strengths, and respect your authority as a leader.

Now your team members know one another better, they may socialize together and able to ask one another for help and provide ideas comfortably.Members will also know their identity to achieve the goals together. The team leader should focus on continuing to clarify the roles of each member, and a clear and workable structure and process for the group to achieve its goals.

People develop a stronger commitment to the team goal, and you start to see good progress towards it.There is often a prolonged overlap between storming and norming. This is because as a new tasks come up,the team will lapse back into behavior from the storming stage.

Performing

In this stage, members know and realize their individuals roles and group goals. The leader has directed well enough to allow members to become self-reliant to complete the tasks necessary for the project to come together in its entirety.

Meetings become productive and individual work afterwards is consistent with the goals and tasks assigned.

It will be easy to be a part of team at this stage, and people who join or leave won't disrupt performance.

Adjourning

In this stage,it is clear to members and their organization that the team has achieved its goals.

Group will always come together at the end of a project and commend each other for their efforts, because each understands that parts of the project could not be completed without the other.

TOPIC 2 - EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

1. The Learning from the Group work

Become more responsible in the group
-Without the responsibility , a group cannot form to become a high performance group
-For example , every members have their own role and tasks to complete
-If one of the member did not do their work property , the work done by group will become mess
-So , the group will also fail to achieve their goal
-Every group member were very care about their own role
-For example , our reporter which are Jia Ling and Tong Vee , they try to remember their own questions parts before going to interview the staff .
-Our head of blogger always help us to check the draft before upload on blog
-We done our work without reminding and done our task perfectly .
Sharing Ideas
-Our assistance leader ,Jia Xin and our leader ,Jia Min always share their own experience and good ideas about the presentation and group discussion
-By sharing ideas and working together , everyone involved benefits and receives a bit back without making it known what we're doing and thinking , it,s impossible for others to contribute to that knowledge
-As a team , the members can each contribute pros and cons of approaches to tasks and methods to accomplish key goals

2. Motivating factor to complete the project successfully

-We want to achieve our group goals . Our group goals is to accomplish the assignment perfectly
-We want to score A in this subject
-We want to achieve success together
-For example , just like our bog we did not have the contain that lecturer want . So, we all burn the midnight oil by doing this blog and edit this blog .
-Without motivation by each group members , we will not done it on this limited time .

3. How Experiential Learning was implemented in your class and group

-We realise that we have to take care of group members feeling and given respect to other group members when they are giving suggestions.

- For example , once during the meeting in our group , there are different opinions among the group members about the time for interview our staff .
-Ivan and Bryan can't make it for the time we had already set up . So, they give difference time to us for the staff interview .
-But for their time , the staff (ERU) can make it to us
-Thus ,we list down what time that Ivan and Bryan can make it and see which time that everyone can and the staff also can make it .

4. Was it beneficial for us ?

  • YES
REASON :

  1. We can become a better person either in university life or during working ( good quality and attitude )
  2. We can easily to identify our mistake from experiences and modify it.
  3. We can influence others with same attitude.

5. Do you think it should be incorporated in your class ? Yes, No, Why ?

  • YES - Some attitudes and behaviours are needed to change

FIRST EXAMPLES :
  1. ACTION THEORY
  • Some of our classmates have not attended classes on time ( 5 minutes before).
  • This action had distracted our classmates from learning.
  • Lecturer advised them not to become a latecomer.

     2. MODIFY ATTITUDES
  • The latecomers felt ashamed of their behaviour.
  • They came class earlier after advising by lecturer.

SECOND EXAMPLES :
  1. ACTION THEORY
  • Most of the classmates are not active while asking questions by lecturer.
  • This phenomena had wasted our learning progress and made lecturer a little bit unhappy and disappointed.
  1. MODIFY ATTITUDE
  • Our group felt apologizing to lecturer.
  • We volunteered ourselves becoming the first group to carry out a  simple presentation in front of our classes.
